Rev. Casey Wait
Pastor
A native of New Rochelle, New York, Rev. Casey Wait holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Colgate University, A Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Master Certification in Biblical Storytelling through the Academy for Biblical Storytelling.
Casey served at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA from 2006-2017. As Associate Pastor, she was responsible for setting the vision for the education/formation ministries of the church for all ages, as well as providing leadership and supervision for the Christian Formation staff. Casey was originally called to the church as the founding organizer of their active young adults group. She has previously served as Interim Associate Pastor at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia and as a hospital chaplain in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
Casey travels nationally telling biblical stories – helping connect the stories of God to the people of God. You can hear Casey tell stories on her podcast, Story Divine. She also writes and tells stories at Faith and Wonder, her video storytelling and learning website, aimed at encouraging all to learn the stories of God by heart. (Links are below.)
In her free time, Casey enjoys spending time with her three young children (William, Megan, and Andrew) and friends, taking improv classes, reading, and doing just about anything that involves creativity.

Kevin Allen
Director of Music
Kevin Allen is a multi-faceted musician, working as a music educator, conductor, pianist, accompanist, and singer. In 2015, Mr. Allen became the Vocal Music Teacher at a high school in Prince George’s County Public Schools, where he teaches three choirs and three levels of class piano. He is also the Director of Music at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Annandale, Virginia, where he has served since 2011. As an active accompanist, he has accompanied many instrumentalists, vocalists, choirs, and musicals in Maryland, Virginia, and the D.C. Metro area. As a singer, he regularly sings with the Heritage Signature Chorale, under the direction of Mr. Stanley Thurston.
Previously, he taught middle school chorus in Prince William County Public Schools for 10 years. He performed with the Washington Chorus, under the direction of Julian Wachner and The Choral Society of Washington, under the direction of Norman Scribner. He has also served a variety of churches in Virginia and in the D.C. Metro area for over 10 years.
A graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Mr. Allen was a piano student of Dr. Sheila McDonald Harleston and a voice student of the late Dr. Gerald Johnson and Dr. Sandra Jarrett. While at UMES, he performed with the Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Harleston, where he was regularly a soloist during many performances and tours abroad to France, England, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Trinidad. Also, he was an award winner in the 1998-2000 DeBose National Piano Competitions held at Southern University. He earned his Master of Music degree from Norfolk State University, where he studied piano with Dr. Ernest Brown. He also performed with the NSU Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Carl Haywood. Mr. Allen is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education degree from Peabody Institute at John Hopkins University.

Virginia Frentz
Office Manager
Virginia Frentz is a native of Springfield, VA and has been working in office management for over twenty years. She works hard to keep the office running smoothly and efficiently, while always making sure that it has a welcoming atmosphere.
Virginia spends her time away from JCPC as a licensed real estate agent. She and her husband live in Springfield, where she enjoys taking care of her menagerie of pets, reading and making jewelry.
