Global Outreach
Kisima Child Care Academy
In 2006, Kisima Child Care Academy’s (KCCA) founders, Kenyans Martin and Margaret Simiyu, responded to God’s call to build a safe harbor for orphans in their rural community near Kitale, Kenya. They started with 69 abandoned orphans sleeping on feed sacs in mud huts and have grown to become a registered Kenyan school providing a daily meal and education for 299 students from preschool to grade 8. 81 students are orphans and receive full support with clothing, meals, and housing. The remaining 218 are impoverished local students who would otherwise not receive any education. The Kisima mission also fully supports 52 KCCA graduate orphans continuing their education in various boarding high schools in the region.
JCPC has been instrumental in this amazing growth and continued support. We have visited the school annually since 2012 with groups of travelers of various ages. The Kisima kids love visitors! Individual donations are the main source of funding and 100% of funds raised are given to the school; there is no administrative overhead.
