At John Calvin Presbyterian Church, mission is not just something we do—it’s who we are. Whether through hands-on service, advocacy, or financial support, we are committed to making a meaningful impact in the world.
Seasonal & Special Mission Initiatives
- Alternative Gift Market (AGM) – Offering alternative holiday gifts that support local and global missions, raising thousands of dollars annually.
- ACCA Child Development Center (CDC) – Providing essential clothing and supplies for young children from low-income families.
- Presbyterian Women’s Ministry Initiative – Hosting holiday gift drives and community-building events that benefit Bailey’s Shelter & Supportive Housing.
- National Capital Presbytery (NCP) Unified Mission – Our budget includes support for NCP’s work in the DMV area. Examples include Allyship and Dismantling Racism training; grants for a variety of leadership development opportunities; seed money for community gardens; grants for our churches partnering to assist refugees and immigrants; new church development support and so much more.
